Frequently Asked Questions About Plumbing & HVAC Services in Long Beach, NJ

Regular HVAC maintenance is essential to ensure your system runs efficiently and lasts for years. Experts recommend scheduling a professional tune-up twice a year: once in the spring for your cooling system and again in the fall for your heating system.

Routine maintenance helps identify potential issues early, improving performance and reducing the risk of costly breakdowns. Tasks like checking filters, cleaning coils, and inspecting electrical connections are critical for both safety and efficiency.

Don’t wait until a problem arises! Contact ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to schedule your HVAC maintenance appointment and enjoy peace of mind year-round.

Plumbing issues often start small but can quickly escalate if ignored. Look out for these common signs:

  • Dripping faucets or constantly running toilets.
  • Slow or clogged drains.
  • Low water pressure.
  • Unpleasant odors from sinks or drains.
  • Unexplained spikes in your water bill.

If you notice any of these issues, it’s crucial to address them promptly to avoid further damage. ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling offers same-day service to diagnose and resolve your plumbing problems efficiently.

Improving indoor air quality is essential for a healthy living environment. Start by changing your HVAC filters regularly and using high-quality filters that trap allergens and particles.

Consider installing a UV air sanitizer or whole-home air purifier to eliminate bacteria, mold, and other pollutants. Maintaining proper humidity levels with a dehumidifier or humidifier can also significantly impact air quality.

For tailored solutions to enhance your home’s air quality, contact the experts at ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.

Most water heaters last 8-12 years, depending on the type and how well they’re maintained. Signs it’s time for a replacement include:

  • Rusty or discolored water.
  • Inconsistent water temperature.
  • Strange noises like banging or popping.
  • Frequent repairs.

Upgrading to a modern, energy-efficient model, such as a tankless water heater, can save you money on utility bills while providing a reliable hot water supply. ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling can help you choose the perfect system for your home.

Tankless water heaters, also known as on-demand water heaters, provide hot water only when needed, eliminating the need for a storage tank. Benefits include:

  • Energy Efficiency: Reduces energy consumption compared to traditional models.
  • Unlimited Hot Water: No more running out during long showers or multiple uses.
  • Compact Design: Frees up space in your home.

If you’re considering upgrading, ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling offers professional installation of high-quality tankless systems.

An air conditioner blowing warm air could indicate several issues, such as:

  • A dirty or clogged air filter.
  • Low refrigerant levels due to a leak.
  • A malfunctioning thermostat.
  • Electrical problems in the system.

While some issues, like filter changes, can be handled by homeowners, others require professional attention. Contact ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling for a fast and accurate diagnosis.

Preventing clogs starts with being mindful of what goes down your drains. Avoid disposing of grease, coffee grounds, and fibrous foods in kitchen sinks, and use strainers to catch hair in bathroom drains.

Regularly flushing your drains with hot water or a mild vinegar solution can also help prevent buildup. For persistent issues or professional-grade cleaning, ASAP Plumbing, Heating & Cooling offers expert drain cleaning and hydro jetting services to keep your pipes clear.

Upon arrival, I found that the kitchen sink drain was not piped correctly. The primary issue was related to the dishwasher connection. The tailpiece adapter had been cut too short, and the Studor vent was installed at an improper height relative to the fixture’s flood rim/overflow level and did not meet current code requirements.Additionally, there was no accessible cleanout for servicing the drain line, and the existing piping arrangement made repairs and maintenance difficult to perform. My recommendation was to replace and reconfigure the drain piping to bring the installation up to code, improve accessibility for future service, and eliminate the potential for leaks and drainage issues. The drain system was rebuilt accordingly, including the necessary updates to provide proper service access. As an added precaution, water alarms were installed beneath the affected area to help detect any future leaks. The system was thoroughly tested after repairs were completed.
